I have always enjoyed doing a variety of crafts during my free time.  Each year as the holiday season approaches, I try to think of gifts that I can make.  I first got into making jewelry in 2007 when I bought a dress to wear to a couple of weddings.  I had red shoes to wear with the dress and wanted to tie the color in with a necklace.  I was amazed by how difficult it was to find a red necklace!  As I was searching, several friends suggested that I could make one.  The idea intrigued me.  Even though I eventually found a red necklace in a store, I decided to try making some necklaces just for fun.  I bought a book, some tools, and a beading kit, and I took a basic stringing class.  That's all it took for me to get hooked.  Since then, I have made a variety of necklaces and earrings both for myself and for others.  I have found that making jewelry is a wonderful way for me to relax when I have a little free time.
